Wisdom teeth extraction, also known as third molar extraction, is a common dental procedure in which the wisdom teeth, or third molars, are removed. Wisdom teeth are the last set of molars to emerge in the back of the mouth, usually during late adolescence or early adulthood. While some people have sufficient space in their mouths for their wisdom teeth to erupt properly, many individuals experience issues with these teeth that necessitate extraction.
